Greeting Cards and Gift Candles

Clean and Simple

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” –Leonardo da Vinci
Well if da Vinci said it then it must be so right?  In terms of art and craft at least.  I’ve been looking at several cards that use stamps and a lot of whtie space and they have been drawing me in.
I like the clean, simple look of white with accent colours and the elegant look of black and white.
So with this card I thought I accomplished birthday male 3
that look at bit.
The base of this card is Papertrey Ink’s ‘stamper’s select white’.  I have layered it with ‘enchanted evening’ then put an embossed white layer on top of that.
The sentiment is stamped onto a small square and mounted onto a square from Spellbinders’ captivating squares, in PTI’s ‘simply chartreuse’.  It is a beautiful colour.  Behind that is one strip of green and blue chevron ribbon bought locally.  Three little gems were added.
I love how the colours came together.
Here they are.
