Greeting Cards and Gift Candles

Comfort and Peace

Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.    Norman Cousins

It’s only the third month of the year 2018 and I have had reason to make just about ten sympathy cards.  Not all of them were for people I knew but still….that is a sad thing.  Yet, there are so many of us who are alive in body but losing a piece of our spirits every day.  I wish you comfort and  God’s peace.

I’m sharing two cards today that feature Papertrey Ink’s Brushed Birds.  I love, love these birds and their softness and expression just seems to convey comfort and peace.

Cardstock:  PTI Ripe Avocado, Classic Kraft

Dies & Stamps: Spring Woods, Brushed Birds, Gran’s Garden, Banner Sentiments

On the second card I asked my son, who is studying art, to draw the bird’s nest for me unto kraft cardstock.  I then hand cut it out and slipped the birds into it.  So happy to have had him work with me on this.  #firstmomandsoncollab

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care,

Lisa

* This card got a special mention in the Color Throwdown challenge!

I’m entering the second card into two challenges:
